Remember HiFi? Giant, analog-loving systems that people gathered around to hear the latest music in rich, encompassing stereo sound. Lately, it’s hard to come by. Recent technology has reduced the size of music players and “speakers” to the nth degree in order to offer a more portable–and personal–listening experience.
Certainly, this advancement has been beneficial for on-the-go music enjoyment, but it also spurred a degradation in audio quality, as well as discouraged the social element of music enjoyment and discovery.
