The Amazing Spiderman New Trailer

8 Feb

The Amazing Spider-Man hits theaters on July 3rd, 2012.

One of the world’s most popular characters is back on the big screen as a new chapter in the Spider-Man legacy is revealed in The Amazing Spider-Man™. Focusing on an untold story that tells a different side of the Peter Parker story, the new film stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Rhys Ifans, Denis Leary, Campbell Scott, Irrfan Khan, with Martin Sheen and Sally Field. The film is directed by Marc Webb from a screenplay written by James Vanderbilt, based on the Marvel Comic Book by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko. Laura Ziskin, Avi Arad, and Matt Tolmach are producing the film in association with Marvel Entertainment for Columbia Pictures, which will open in theaters everywhere in 3D on July 3, 2012.

The Amazing Spider-Man is the story of Peter Parker (Garfield), an outcast high schooler who was abandoned by his parents as a boy, leaving him to be raised by his Uncle Ben (Sheen) and Aunt May (Field). Like most teenagers, Peter is trying to figure out who he is and how he got to be the person he is today. Peter is also finding his way with his first high school crush, Gwen Stacy (Stone), and together, they struggle with love, commitment, and secrets. As Peter discovers a mysterious briefcase that belonged to his father, he begins a quest to understand his parents’ disappearance — leading him directly to Oscorp and the lab of Dr. Curt Connors (Ifans), his father’s former partner. As Spider-Man is set on a collision course with Connors’ alter-ego, The Lizard, Peter will make life-altering choices to use his powers and shape his destiny to become a hero.

Vanessa Hudgens is back on the Big Screen as Kailani

8 Feb Vanessa

VANESSA Hudgens, the Filipino-American star known for her role in Disney Channel’s breakaway sensation High School Musical and Sucker Punch, is now back on the big screen as Kailani on this new adventure movie Journey 2: The Mysterious Island. This movie is a sequel to the blockbuster hit The Journey to the Center of the Earth.

As part of a film of this magnitude, Vanessa experienced joy shooting scenes especially with such wonderful cast. “This was such an extremely and incredibly fun movie to make. I knew that it was going to be fun just considering filming in Hawaii and being with such an awesome cast, but I never really actually realized until I got there that this would be this fun in my life. Working with the cast was
phenomenal. Dwayne Johnson was such a big sweet-heart; he’s so much fun and so caring. Luis Guzman was just such a riot to work with. Michael Caine who is an absolute legend was one of the nicest guys I’ve ever met, he was really inspiring to see because he’s done so many incredible things.”

Shooting in 3D and with all the special effects might be a daunting task to some actors. But for her, the final product is rewarding.

“It was amazing. Usually when I’m watching a movie I’m in, I’m constantly critiquing myself and kicking myself in the butt for things

that I think I could’ve done better. But for this movie, it was a different experience because of the 3D, it just completely pulled me into this adventure, and it was so absorbing and I really got to enjoy the movie and go along for the ride that we intended to create for
everybody. So it was so much fun” she added.

Being one of the famous Fil-Am stars in Hollywood, she was amazed with all the support from the community. “It’s such an honor, it’s a major privilege. I always love standing up for my people and I always want to try and do my best so it’s an honor.”

Future projects are on her way this year. She is planning on doing more dramatic roles and transforms herself into a more dynamic actor. “I did a few projects after Journey, I did one called Give me Shelter, it’s kind of my first really heavy dramatic role that I’ve done. After that I did a movie called The Frozen Ground based on a true story. It was an amazing cast and it was a crazy experience filming in Alaska. I got to work with Nick Cage, John Cusack, 50 cent, so it was really fun pushing myself even further once again.”
If ever she had the opportunity to experience the same adventure as her character, she refused. “I definitely wouldn’t volunteer myself to go through it, being chased by a giant lizard would be something you would try to avoid. But, I love being outside and I’m extremely adventurous, I kind of like being sucked into things where I don’t know what is going to happen but I prefer there to
be less creatures, less big creatures. I would be down to go on an adventure anywhere, I want to go to India, I really want to go see the culture and religion and the architecture so hopefully that’ll be the next stop.”

Journey 2: The Mysterious Island will open in theaters this Friday, February 10 and will be released in IMAX ® theaters and 3D theaters worldwide. This film is rated PG for some adventure action and brief, mild language.
